About the role
Ruby on Rails Engineer
Client: Job Marketplace Startup (based in the UK and US; Company size: 400+)
Duration of contract: 12 months (Outside IR35)
Salary: Upto £600 DOE
Client Location: London
Working Arrangement: Remote
*candidate must be a resident & limited company must be based in the UK
Minimum Requirements:
8+ years of strong experience building and maintaining the backend of software products using Ruby, Rails and PostgreSQL
Demonstrated, hands-on experience scaling monolithic applications and working in microservice architectures
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
A product mindset. You’re able to understand business requirements and translate them into small pieces that can be delivered and validated incrementally
Must be a self-starter with high initiative, and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity
Ideal candidates will:
Have experience with other languages and frameworks, especially experience of building for scale
Have full-stack experience ideally - good plus for React experience
Have experience with A/B testing and data-driven methods
